Andhra Pradesh Mandala Praja Parishads, Zilla Praja Parishads and Zilla Abhivrudhi Sameeksha Mandals (Amendment) Act, 1988*

An Act further to amend the Andhra Pradesh Mandala Praja Parishads, Zilla Praja Parishads and Zilla Abhivrudhi Sameeksha Mandals Act, 1986.
Be it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of the State of Andhra Pradesh in the Thirty-eight Year of the Republic of India, as follows:-

1. (1) This Act may be called the Andhra Pradesh Mandala Praja Parishads, Zilla Praja Parishads and Zilla Abhivrudhi Sameeksha Mandals (Amendment) Act, 1988.
(2) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 15th January, 1987.
2. Amendment of section 30.- In the Andhra Pradesh Mandala Praja Parishads, Zilla Praja Parishads and Zilla Abhivrudhi Sameeksha Mandals Act, 1986 (Act 31 of 1986) (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act), in section 30,-
(i) in sub-section (1), after the words "such posts of officers", the words "and other employees of a Mandala Praja Parishad" shall be inserted;
(ii) to sub-section (4), the following shall be added, namely:-
"Until rules in that behalf are so made, the law for the time being in force regulating the recruitment and conditions of service, pay and allowances and discipline and conduct, applicable to such holder shall continue to apply to such holder.";
(iii) sub-section (5) shall be omitted.
3. Amendment of section 60.- In section 60 of the principal Act,-
(i) to sub-section (4), the following shall be added, namely:-
"Until rules in that behalf are so made, the law for the time being in force regulating the recruitment and conditions of service, pay and allowances and discipline and conduct, applicable to such holder shall continue to apply to such holder.";
(ii) sub-section (5) shall be omitted.
4. Repeal of Ordinance 6 of 1987.- The Andhra Pradesh Mandala Praja Parishads, Zilla Praja Parishads and Zilla Abhivrudhi Sameeksha Mandals (Second Amendment) Ordinance, 1987 is hereby repealed.
