An Act further to amend the Andhra Pradesh Court fees and Suits Valuation Act, 1956
Be it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of the State of Andhra Pradesh in the Fifty-second Year of the Republic of India as follows:-

STATEMENT OF OBJECTS AND REASONS
In view of the rapid inflation in the recent past and reduction in value of rupee, it is proposed to enhance the fee for attestation of documents intended to be used outside India from Rs. 1/- to Rs. 50/- per original certificate under article 10(g) of Schedule II of Andhra Pradesh Fees and Suits Valuation Act, 1956.
Further the Government is receiving about 70-80 certificate through 25-30 applications every day. If the fee is increased for each certificate for attestation of documents, the submission of unnecessary certificates for attestation can be reduced and revenue will be increased to the exhequer from Rs. 1/- to Rs. 50/-.
Government have, therefore decided to amend article 10(g) of Schedule-II of the Andhra Pradesh Court Fees and Suits Valuation Act, 1956, enhancing the fees of attestation of private documents intended to be used outside India from Re. 1/- to Rs. 50/- as recommended by the Inspector General of Registration and Stamps of Andhra Pradesh, accepted by the Registrar, High Court of Andhra Pradesh and also as agreed by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, New Delhi.
The Bill seeks to give effect to the above decision.
1. Short title and commencement.- (1) This Act may be called the Andhra Pradesh Court Fees and Suits Valuation (Amendment) Act, 2001.
(2) It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification, in the Andhra Pradesh Gazette, appoint.
2. Amendment or Schedule-II.- In the Andhra Pradesh Court Fees and Suits Valuation act, 1956 (Act VII of 1956), in Schedule II, in article 10, against item (g), in column (3), for the existing rate of proper fee, the following shall be substituted, namely:-
"fifty rupees".
