Andhra Pradesh Co-operative Societies (Second Amendment) Act, 1989*

An Act further to amend the Andhra Pradesh Co-operative Societies Act, 1964.
Be it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of the State of Andhra Pradesh in the Fortieth Year of the Republic of India as follows:-

Republic of India, as follows:-
1. Short title.- This Act may be called the Andhra Pradesh Co-operative Societies (Second Amendment) Act, 1989.
2. Amendment of section 31.- In the Andhra Pradesh Co-operative Societies Act, 1964 (Act 7 of 1964) (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act) in section 31, in sub-section (2), in clause (a), for the words "three years", the words "five years" shall be substituted.
3. Amendment of section 34A.- In section 34-A of the principal Act, in sub-section (11) for the words "with the support of the majority of the total number of members", the words "with the support of not less than two-thirds of the total number of members" shall be substituted.
