An Act further to amend the Andhra Pradesh Agricultural University Act, 1963.
Be it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of the State of Andhra Pradesh in the Forty-third Year of the Republic of India as follows:-

An Act Further to amend the Andhra Pradesh Agricultural University Act, 1963
Be it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of the State of Andhra Pradesh in the Forty-seventh Year of the Republic of India, as follows:-

1. Short title and commencement.- (1) This Act may be called the Andhra Pradesh Agricultural University (Amendment) Act, 1996.
(2) It shall come into force on such date as the Government may, by notification, in the Andhra Pradesh Gazette, appoint.
2. Amendment of section 19.- In the Andhra Pradesh Agricultural University Act, 1963, in section 19,-
(i) in sub-section (2),-
(a) after item (d), the following item shall he inserted inserted, namely:-
"(dd) the Secretary to Government, Finance Department."
(b) in item (i), for the words "four person" shall be ???;
(c) after item (ii) the following item shall be inserted, ???:-
"(k) two persons nominated by the Chancellor from among the Agro Industries and other entrepreneurs, including self employed ???"
(ii) in sub-section (k), after proviso, the following proviso, the following proviso shall be ???
"Provided further that even if some of the members are nominated different times to the Board under item (e) to (k) of sub-section (2), the ??? of three years in three case shall be ??? from the date on which the notification constituting the Board the first issued."
3. Certain existing members to cease to hold office.- On and from the commencement of the Andhra Pradesh Agricultural University (Amendment) Act, 1996, all the nominated by the Chancellor in to the year, 1293 under items (h), (i) and (j) of sub-section (2) of section 19 shall cease to hold such office; and the Chancellor shall, thereafter fill up all such vacancies by nomination in accordance with the provisions of the Principal Act as amended by this Act.
