An Act to amend the law relating to Customs Duties.
1 Received the assent of the Governor General on the 18th March 1869.
1. Power to assess value of dutiable goods.- Notwithstanding anything contained in the Indian Customs Duties' Act, 1867, it shall be lawful for the Governor General of India in Council from time to time, by notification in the Gazette of India, to fix for the purposes of that Act the value of any goods imported or exported by sea on which duties of customs are thereby imposed.
2. This Act to be read with Act XVII of 1867.- This Act shall be read with and taken as part of the Indian Customs Duties' Act, 1867.
