An Act to amend the Indian Bills of Exchange Act, 1916
Whereas it is expedient to amend the Indian Bills of Exchage Act, 14 of 1916; It is hereby encacted as follows:-
1. Short title and duration.-(1) This Act may be called the Indian Bills of Exchange (Amendment) Act, 1917.
(2) It shall be in force during the continuance of the present war, and for a period of six months thereafter.
2. Amendment of Section 2 of Act 14 of 1916.-In Section 2 of the Indian Bills of Exchange Act, 1916, before the word "payment," wherever that word occurs in the said section, the words "acceptance or" shall be inserted.
